SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA— 18 Sep 2007— Innovative Australian document solutions company, Speedscan today announced that it had acquired Datacap Limited, a leading New Zealand document services and technologies company based in Auckland.
Following close on the heels of its private equity backed MBO, the move by Speedscan will create a leading document services organisation and a substantial regional provider of secure outsourced document services and solutions. The combined business will offer customers an extensive range of document technologies and service capabilities with almost 100 staff and offices in Auckland, Wellington, Sydney, Melbourne and Manila.

Speedscan will use Datacap as the base for continued growth within the New Zealand market. Datacap founder, Mark Wootton will remain with Speedscan and take up the role of Group CTO.
